1. Turn off the water supply at the toilet's base.
2. Flush the toilet and ensure the tank is fully emptied (flush again if necessary).
3. Unclip the flush chain.
4. Twist the stem counter-clockwise with some force until you hear a click, then lift the flushing unit out of the tank.
5. Replace the old seal with the new one (only one seal per toilet).
6. Put the stem back in and twist it clockwise to tighten.
7. Reinstall the flush chain.
8. Turn the water supply back on.
